RENTAL AGREEMENT OPTION

Sometimes you’re not completely sure about what instrument your child is best suited to, your instrument is broken and is awaiting repair, or your funds just can’t stretch that far. For whatever your reason, we can assist with our Rental option.

We offer a selected range of instruments, available on a flexible term-by-term basis for rent.

Our Rental Agreement comes with the following benefits:

  • Only pay for what you use – if your child wants to try before you buy, our Rental Agreement allows you to rent for as many terms as you need. You can at any time return the instrument to us. Alternatively, you may decide to keep the instrument. Great news – you can apply to buy the instrument outright. Your rental payments have contributed towards the payment of instrument, so all you need to do is pay the agreed balance and the instrument becomes yours!
  • No service, admin, delivery or cleaning fees are payable. You will be charged at the start of each term, with your term fees. Your term usage charge is all you pay[1]
  • No lock in contracts and no minimum terms. Cancel anytime![2]
  • Our Rental Instruments are all well respected, quality, NEW instruments.
  • The instrument will be delivered directly to your child at their school, during Band lessons.

Please contact Jacob at instruments@bandemonium.com.au for more information and availability.

[1] Additional charges may be payable if the instrument is not returned in good working condition, or term repayments are not maintained. Consumables are at the cost of parent/guardian.  See Rental Terms and conditions for more details

[2] Notice to cancel Rental Agreement requires 2 weeks (14 days) notice. Additional Payment for following term may be required to be paid if not enough notice has been provided.

SCHOOL INSTRUMENT RENTALS

Some of the schools we attend rent their own instrument to their own students. This is not something that is organised, nor administered by us, but the schools themselves. If your school offers this, details are provided during auditions, held at the end of the year.

What level of experience is required for my child to be in the Bandemonium Band?

No previous experience in learning an instrument or reading music is required. That’s what we are for!

Fees for Term 1 are payable on enrolment, as is the Band Starter Pack. The remaining term fees are payable BEFORE the start of each term.

How do I know that my child is attending their lessons?

Our tutors mark the roll every time we run a tutorial or rehearsal. If your child is absent for more than two consecutive weeks, we will send you an email to advise.

Who are the tutors and conductors?

We employ highly experienced staff to train and develop your child in learning their instrument and to read music.

All our tutors and conductors have completed the Working with Children Check (WWCC) and required documentation. They are each highly skilled musicians and play a wide range of instruments.

What if my child wants to leave the band?

Every student is an essential member of a Training or Concert Band.

If we are advised that a child wishes to leave their Band, we will make every effort to overcome any difficulties they are experiencing, within our power.

We strongly recommend that parents/guardians discuss any concern they have with the tutor or Bandemonium representative before deciding to leave, as their leaving impacts the whole Band.

Training Band is a contracted commitment for a WHOLE YEAR (including financial) ending in the final week of Term 4. Full payment is required for the year, even if the student does not attend.

Students in the Concert Band are required to give four (4) weeks’ notice in writing for termination of enrolment. Notice of termination will be accepted and effective from the date of notice. Fees are still applicable if the student does not attend lessons during this time.

Any notice of termination must be made in writing to accounts@bandemonium.com.au, not to the child’s tutor and/or conductor.

How do I enrol my child in Bandemonium Band lessons?

Play Video

In our existing schools, in October/November each year, we hold auditions for students interested in joining the following year. However, due to COVID restrictions this year, we’ve had to do things a little differently. If your school has missed out on our fun and interactive demo day, please watch our video instead.

The steps are:

  1. Attend the demo day or watch the video
  2. Your school will be handing out our Expressions of Interest forms.
  3. You will need to return this to your school. We will then contact you by email to confirm your child’s place in the Band for 2022.
  4. You then follow the information in the confirmation email to officially enrol in the Band for the next year. We collect enrolment and payment details at this time through an online enrolment form.

For students who have missed the auditions or are joining at a different time of the year, please call on 0421 014 065 to discuss your child’s needs, before proceeding to the Enrolment Form.

If your school does not already run a Bandemonium Band Program, please give us call us on 0421 014 065 for more information.

Who can be in the Bandemonium Band?

We welcome any student from Years 3 – 6.

What is the level of commitment required to be part of the Bandemonium Band?

To guarantee the best start in the program, all Training band members must commit for one year (including financially)

In Term 1, students will be given a Commitment Contract clearly stating the expectations required for the year.

Band members are required to:

  •  Bring their instruments and music to all lessons
  •  Attend all rehearsals, tutorials and performances as advised
  •  Practise their instrument at home – usually 45-60 minutes per week
  •  Behave appropriately during all band sessions.
